THE BIRTHING OF PATIENCE
James 1:1-4 and 5:7-8

As my life lays on the waiting table, I am reminded to keep breathing.
Take long deep cleansing breaths and think about a place of peace.
I imagine the place where I would like to be right this moment. I think about all of this being over.
Just breath, I tell myself. Let things happen naturally.
Can't rush perfection, can't mess with natural process.
So I must wait.
But the offspring of this situation doesn't look like I expected.
That's because with every push, I learned to endure, with every scream, I learned to persevere.
And when the pain stopped and I opened my eyes, I discovered why all this suffering was necessary.
I had birthed patience.....

WHAT IS NEXT?

How many times have you thought about the way your life has gone?

About the roads that you have traveled and who chose the one you're on?

Is this book that God has started full of His pre-written text?

And is it a waste of time to sit and wonder what is next?
